Microsoft Introduces Exciting Feature in Word, Allowing Users to React to Comments: Here’s What You Need to Know

Microsoft is introducing an exciting new feature in Word that will give users the ability to react to comments, similar to the reactions feature in Outlook. The company is making it easier for users to respond to comments by incorporating a Like button into Word.

According to reports from Windows Central, the feature is currently being rolled out to Current Channel (Preview) users who are running Version 2305 or later. It is already available for web users and Beta Channel users. To react to a comment in Word, users simply need to open a document, navigate to the comment section, and click the ‘Like’ button located in the top right corner.

It’s important to note that the document may already have comments, but if not, users will need to create one before they can react to it. Additionally, the report mentions that Microsoft has acknowledged two known issues with this feature. First, iOS and Android users will not be able to see comment reactions. Second, the feature might not be available when editing older documents. However, users should still be able to react to comments that are added to newer documents. The report also states that Word for Mac users can expect to have access to this feature in the coming weeks.

In other news, Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 dev build that allows Insiders to conveniently view their phone’s camera roll in the File Explorer Gallery. Once users install the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build, they will notice a new button added to the File Explorer’s command bar, which enables them to easily add photos from their phone.
